Solar Energy - It Just Makes Sense

Solar Energy Technologies have been harnessing the Sun's Energy and converting it into electricity for nearly fifty years, and has remained quite consistant since it was first developed. The basic concept has not changed and has become the most reliable and abundant renewable energy source. Solar Panels collect solar rays that reach the Earth, and convert them into electric current. A Solar Panel, or Photovoltaic (PV) cell is comprised of two layers of silicon, and when solar rays hit one of the layers, it stimulates free electrons to surge back and forth to the other layer, and a natural current is created. This current is then stored in batteries, then sent to an inverter box, that converts the DC current into the Standard AC current you can use to power your home. Solar Power has become the leading alternative energy solution and does not harm the environment by using it to power our lives. As the least expensive form of electricity generation technology, it just makes sense to use the Sun's energy as our primary source of energy!
Leading scientists have been predicting for centuries, that the Sun's energy would become the world's primary energy source. Now it is obvious that the amount of energy that can be harnessed from the Sun is quite endless, and we should be switching to a system that uses clean and renewable sources. Each of us should get involved and consider eco-friendly choices for energy efficiency and electricity generation. It is certainly time for every person to consider installing residential solar panels to create a self-suficient home. The benefit to the environment would be massive, and the feeling of satisfaction we would get by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and our dependence on fossil fuels would be great!
